Algalif, Icelandic producer of pure, high-grade, natural astaxanthin from microalgae, announced it has achieved non-GMO project verification for its Astalíf 5% and 10% oleoresin ingredients

“We are pleased to achieve this certification and believe it helps reinforce our commitment to quality and to our customers that want to avoid GMOs in their products,” said Orri Björnsson, CEO of Algalif Iceland.

“Much credit goes to our quality team for its ongoing diligence in supporting and validating the purity and quality of all our products.”

“Buyers are increasingly knowledgeable about what to look for when purchasing astaxanthin, which supports our aim to offer the highest quality astaxanthin in the marketplace, at a competitive price,” said Simon Seward, Algalif Global Business Director.

The non-GMO project product verification programme is North America’s only third-party verification for non-GMO food and products.

This third-party verification ensures that Astalíf 5 and 10 have been comprehensively evaluated by an independent party for compliance with a standard developed by industry experts and stakeholders.

Astalíf is a potent natural antioxidant with multiple health benefits and a solid scientific foundation. It is manufactured to rigorous quality and sustainability standards.

It is a specialty ingredient for nutraceuticals with applications in brain health, eye health, healthy ageing, cardiovascular health, muscle endurance/recovery and skin health.

Algalif also holds Novel Food, Halal and Kosher certifications, and cGMP status for its world-class production facility.
