Metaugus facility has been upgraded to meet FDA regulations

Axiom Nutraceuticals, a US contract manufacturer and private label supplement developer, has acquired Metaugus, a large-scale laboratory and dietary supplement manufacturing facility located in northern Georgia.

The company says the acquisition increases its manufacturing capabilities to serve a wider range of supplement distributors, medical practitioners, ecommerce providers, retailers, and other businesses in the nutritional health and wellness industry.

With approximately 930m2 of manufacturing space, Axiom Nutraceuticals boasts daily production capacities of 10 million capsules, 150,000 tablets, 75,000 units of powdered product, and 50,000 liquid product units. The Metaugus facility has been updated to meet all current FDA regulations, including new individualised state-of-the-art capsule production rooms with centralised air ventilation systems to prevent cross contamination of products during the manufacturing process.

Axiom’s cGMP facility allows both large and small unit runs using advanced equipment including four high speed automatic encapsulation machines plus 14 semi-automatic machines. The supplement manufacturing plant can also produce halal and kosher dietary supplements on request.

'The acquisition of this research and manufacturing facility allows us the ability to provide supplement distributors a wide variety of highly innovative dietary supplements,' said James VanBrocklin, CEO of Axiom Nutraceuticals.

'Unlike other contract manufacturers, we are vertically integrated and offer distributors a complete turnkey system to develop top-selling, custom labelled nutritional supplements that meet the needs of their unique audience.'
