BENEO appoints Christoph Boettger as new member of the board

BENEO is a division of the Südzucker Group, employs almost 900 people and has production units in Belgium, Chile, Germany and Italy

Leading functional ingredients company, BENEO, is pleased to announce that as of 1 September 2016, Christoph Boettger has been appointed new member of the executive board of directors at BENEO GmbH.

At the same time, Hildegard Bauer, who was a member of the executive board at BENEO for the past 10 years, has retired from business after 38 successful years within the Südzucker Group.

In his new role, Christoph Boettger is leading all areas of operations including technical affairs, raw material, product safety and quality, as well as the BENEO-Technology Center (BENEO’s center of expertise for application technology and customer technical service).

In 1998, Christoph Boettger initially joined the organisation. In his former position, as Director Technical Operations at BENEO, he was overseeing the company’s five production sites in Belgium, Chile, Germany and Italy.

During this time, his responsibilities included production, maintenance, investment management, supply chain management, environmental management, operational health and safety, as well as quality. He holds a degree in process engineering from the University Karlsruhe, Germany (today Karlsruhe Institute of Technology).
