BI will be sampling two functional beverages and a fortified graham cracker that use some of the company's newest food and beverage ingredients at booth 1053 during the 2015 IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo (11–14 July, Chicago, USA).

Attendees can taste a cinnamon graham cracker containing the company's kale powder and Psyberloid psyllium fibre; a protein packed chocolate coconut smoothie that features pumpkin seed protein (>70%); and an energising cherry limeade containing a water-soluble extract form of guayusa, a natural energy ingredient out of South America and alternative to caffeine. BI will also be introducing an 80% faba bean protein.

Additionally, BI's Marketing Director Randal Kreienbrink will participate in a panel discussion entitled 'What's My Role in the Development Process?' on Tuesday 14 July from 10:30-11:30 am in room S401d.

Individuals from R&D and sales will also join Randy to discuss how to best work together during new product development for improved efficiency and market success.

BI conducts extensive species identification and quality testing on every ingredient so manufacturers can be assured that each one meets clean label claims.

With more than 200 GRAS ingredients available, there's no limit to what BI can do to boost the healthful properties of foods and beverages.

Additionally, BI has received SQF 2000 (Safe Quality Food) certification from NSF for its facilities in Long Beach (California) and Islandia (New York), which provides independent verification that a supplier's food safety and quality management systems comply with the Global Food Safety Initiative. The company is also organic, gluten-free, Kosher and Halal certified.
