Balchem advances research effort by bringing Jayme Workinger, PhD, to its scientific team

Balchem, supplier of VitaCholine and Albion Minerals, announces that Jayme Leigh Workinger, PhD, has joined its scientific leadership team

“We are pleased to welcome Jayme to the science team at Balchem as we continue our ongoing efforts in research and proven backing for our chelated minerals,” said James Hyde, Vice President and General Manager at Balchem Human Nutrition and Pharma.

“Her technical expertise and diverse skill set will strengthen our research efforts in chelation methods, the benefits of individual minerals for human health, and the importance of choline in growth and nutrition.”

Ms Workinger received her PhD from Syracuse University in chemistry. She has expertise in scientific analysis, including the design, synthesis, and purification of organic and metal chelating conjugates.

She has participated in research projects at Syracuse University, Barbra Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, University of Pennsylvania and Magee-Womans Research Institute.

She is a sought-after presenter and her findings have been published in a number of academic and technical journals, including ChemMedChem, Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism and Science Publishers.

“I look forward to utilising my experience in both lab and clinical settings to further demonstrate and validate the effectiveness of Balchem products in human nutrition."
