Brenntag Food & Nutrition and Vitalus Nutrition sign new agreement in North America

The Brenntag Food & Nutrition business unit in North America, part of the Brenntag Group, has signed a new agreement with Vitalus Nutrition for the distribution of VITAGOS in the United States and Canada

Vitalus Nutrition focuses on unlocking the nutritional value of milk and transforming its components into ingredients used in nutritional food and beverage applications, such as VITAGOS.

VITAGOS, a galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS) containing syrup, is accepted as Generally Recognised As Safe (GRAS) for its intended uses in the United States.

GOS is a non-digestible carbohydrate produced from lactose, which is used as a prebiotic and dietary fibre.

VITAGOS can be used in a wide range of food and beverage formulations as an ingredient for healthy ageing and active lifestyle applications. It is also used for infant formula and baby food.
