Creative Edge Nutrition has been asked to provide additional information to Health Canada to support its MMPR application
Creative Edge Nutrition, Inc., a nutritional supplement company focusing on active lifestyles, is pleased to announce it has been asked to provide additional information to Health Canada in support of its application to operate under the federal government's Medical Marijuana Purposes Regulations (MMPR).
The company is cooperating with Health Canada, as it has throughout the lengthy and rigorous application process. CEN Biotech Inc. is a Canadian company and Health Canada is on record as saying it does not divulge details about applications made under the MMPR, which is in keeping with Canada's Privacy Act.
In this case however, key information contained in Health Canada's written communication was passed to the media. CEN Biotech Inc. has contacted the Office of the Privacy Commissioner to ensure the corporation, staff, shareholders, and others within the MMPR continue to be protected under Federal Law.
Health Canada has both a right and an obligation to ask any and all questions of any applicant in this program. CEN Biotech Inc. has cooperated fully with all of Health Canada's requirements to date and will continue to do so. It is making every effort to answer any and all questions to Health Canada's satisfaction. In the interests of transparency and accountability the company will share what information it can with news media, shareholders, stakeholders and the public in general.
CEN Biotech Inc. looks forward to working with Health Canada and their officials to their complete satisfaction. The company hopes it can move forward to obtaining a license. This will help provide a much needed therapeutic drug, as mandated by the Supreme Court of Canada.
