DSM awarded ‘Company of the Year’ by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America

Award recognises DSM’s outstanding Halal compliance, implementation and programme of label control for Halal logo and markings


DSM has been selected as the Company of the Year by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA).

The award recognises DSM’s outstanding Halal compliance, implementation and programme of label control for Halal logo and markings. Stephan Heck, Senior Director Quality Management, is to receive the award at a banquet dinner on behalf of DSM, during IFANCA’s 17th International Halal Food Conference.

The number of Halal consumers is increasing and has now reached 1.6 billion, making Halal food, beverage and dietary supplement products one of the fastest growing consumer segments in the world.

DSM has liaised with Halal certification bodies to develop and implement a Halal policy and management system to ensure its nutritional ingredients meet the stringent Halal requirements.

Stephan Heck, a key speaker at the conference, comments: 'We are honoured to be receiving this prestigious award, which reflects our commitment to supporting the growing requirements of the international food industry with global Halal programmes and ingredients that are suitable for Halal products.
