Dr John Cavallo to join the Citromax senior management team as SVP, Technology and Commercial Development

Vivian Glueck, President of the Citromax Group of companies, announced that Dr John Cavallo has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Technology and Commercial Development

John is an accomplished food and beverage industry executive with a global business scope that includes extensive experience in the flavor, extract, food ingredient and specialty chemicals segments.

During his career, John has held senior management positions at Trilogy Essential Ingredients, Citrus and Allied Essences, Comax Manufacturing, Symrise, Haarmann & Reimer and Givaudan.

From October 2016 to May 2018, John served as President of the Flavor and Extracts Manufacturers Association (FEMA), the national association of the US flavour industry. He was elected to FEMA’s Board of Governors in 2009. During his tenure as FEMA President, John oversaw significant changes to the organization’s operations and strategic vision.

At Citromax, John will interact with both the R&D and flavour departments, as well as senior management, to grow the scope of the company’s business and identify new opportunities in the global food and beverage ingredient marketplace.

John received his PhD in physical chemistry, surface and colloid science from the City University of New York, as well as an MBA from New York Institute of Technology. In addition to his tenure with FEMA, he is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Institute of Food Technologists and NAFFS.
