ExcelVite to present health benefits of beta-carotene at SupplySide West 2016

GMP-certified tocotrienol and palm mixed-carotene producer ExcelVite will showcase EVTene at SupplySide West, focusing on its unique health benefits for health supplement, functional food and beverage applications.
EVTene natural mixed-carotene complex is produced from sustainably-sourced Malaysian red palm oil, with a similar composition of carotenes as found in carrot - 33% alpha-carotene, 65% beta-carotene and 2% of other carotenes (gamma-carotene, lycopene, etc.). EVTene has the highest level of alpha-carotene compared with other commercial carotene sources, i.e. synthetic-, fermentative- and algae-beta-carotene.
Research has shown that besides providing pro-vitamin A to help prevent vitamin A deficiency and night blindness, consumption of natural mixed carotenes derived from fruit and vegetables is associated with reduction in risks of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus, as well as with improved bone mineral density (BMD) in adults, especially women, and telomere protection (anti-ageing).
On booth number Q126 at SupplySide West 2016, ExcelVite will show a series of mixed-carotene products derived from palm fruit as natural beta-carotene for use in dietary supplement, and as food colorant (yellow to orange shades) for use in functional food and beverage formulations. EVTene is available in various forms such as oil concentrate (EVTene), water soluble emulsion (EVTeneSem), water dispersible powder (EVTeneSol), and beadlets (Alphabeads/EVTeneBeads).
