At SupplySide West, SternMaid America (booth TT135) will showcase its extended service portfolio for the contract manufacturing and copacking of functional foods, dietary supplements, dry beverage bases and sports nutrition products.
The company’s state-of-the-art microblending plant can be used to meet all manner of different production requirements.
In addition, recent Kosher and Halal certifications enable the company to process products for a wider array of target groups.
To fulfil growing demand from the food and nutraceutical industries, the contract manufacturer has installed a modern double-head system to increase the capacity of its can filling line and will commission a pilot blender in September for small batches and trial runs. Among its copacking options, SternMaid America will also present stickpacks.
Stickpacks respond to today’s consumer desire for convenient, on-the-go packaging. These single-dose units in multiple sizes can be easily filled with granular products such as sugar, salt, pepper or instant drinks.

All-round services from one source
The company’s semi-automated blending line is able to mix order sizes from 500lbs to more than 22,000lbs with a precision of 1:100,000, which distributes microcomponents such as flavours and emulsifiers very finely.
In this way, it is possible, for example, to add probiotics, vitamins and minerals to foods, and larger amounts of fats and highly viscous liquids such as lecithin can be fed in, too.
Besides blending and filling, SternMaid America offers further customised services ranging from raw material purchasing and warehousing to delivery of finished goods.
On a product-by-product basis, the company can also offer non-GMO, gluten-free and/or vegan certified foods.
