FrieslandCampina Ingredients has introduced Deminal 90 Organic, a demineralised whey ingredient for the burgeoning organic infant formula market. Manufactured in the Netherlands, the ingredient is an organic version of another product from the company. As a component of infant milk formula, it enables manufacturers to achieve their desired casein:whey ratio while limiting mineral content.
The ingredient is made of fresh milk from the company’s own select group of organic dairy farmers, who follow unique organic farming standards that go beyond legislation, achieved via the company’s on-farm monitoring tools, which measure criteria such as biodiversity and animal welfare.
“The organic trend has been growing steadily for years and is now booming as more consumers than ever become aware of the impact their choices have on health, and on the environment.
