Gelita has announced an educational session sponsorship for Food Improved by Research Science and Technology (FIRST), an IFT event and digital experience.

Hosted July 19 – 23, attendees and food formulators will have the opportunity to learn about Gelita’s collagen protein ingredients. Ginger Waller, Food Scientist and Formulation Guru will be on-demand to explain the development of original formulations with collagen proteins.

“In today’s competitive environment originality is the key to success, and Gelita’s products offer various ways to make new product developments a reality,” the company says. It offers collagen protein ingredient options both for manufacturers who want to augment formulations with an additional nutritional value or for those who want to enter the sector.

The company will discuss how to create protein bars comprising 60% protein and more with Peptiplus collagen peptides, or how its Bioactive Collagen Peptides (BCP) can stimulate the body’s collagen metabolism. BCPs can reportedly be used for applications including beauty from within, bone and joint health, and immunity.
