Intelligent Labs launches the strongest triglyceride omega-3 fish oil in the UK marketplace

Ultra Pure Omega 3 provides 1224mg of EPA and 816mg of DHA per serving, the highest of any natural triglyceride omega-3 available on the market

Intelligent Labs, a premium supplement company, has announced the launch in the UK of their Ultra Pure Omega 3, after launching in the US this summer to great success. They believe their Ultra Pure Omega 3 will be the strongest and most effective omega-3 fish oil available in the UK.

Intelligent Labs CEO, Andy Mobbs, said: 'We are really happy to be able to launch in the UK because, currently, the UK marketplace is filled with low quality synthetic fish oils. The ones available in most shops around the country are actually in an ethyl ester form that artificially is created in a lab, and is very poorly absorbed by the body.'

'They're also generally very low in the actual omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA,' he continued: 'Our omega-3 is made from natural triglycerides, the form fatty acids take in wild fish, which has much better absorption and effectiveness. With all of the potential health benefits of omega-3, such as improving blood cholesterol levels, reversing inflammation and DHA's effect on brain neurones, it's great to be able to offer the public a high quality, strong, natural and effective fish oil that can really deliver.'

Intelligent Labs' Ultra Pure Omega 3 provides 1224mg of EPA and 816mg of DHA per serving, the highest of any natural triglyceride omega-3 available on the market. It also comes in a 3:2 EPA:DHA ratio, which is the ratio favoured by scientists when investigating omega-3 benefits.

The natural triglyceride formation is key to Ultra Pure's effectiveness, studies have shown that natural triglycerides are 70-400% better absorbed than the artificial ethyl ester form, which is the formation virtually all other omega-3s currently for sale in the UK come in. Studies have also shown that natural triglycerides are much more effective once they have been absorbed by the body than ethyl esters.

The high DHA content is also a key marker of the quality of the Intelligent Labs' omega-3. Mobbs added: 'Many manufacturers have a much higher EPA concentrations, normally 4:1 or 5:1, as EPA is much cheaper to produce than DHA, but it is the strength of the DHA content of an omega-3 oil that really tells you about its quality.'

Omega-3 is not just important for general health though. Top class athletes are just starting to understand how vital omega-3 intake is for peak performance. 'Omega-3 reduces inflammation: as such, adequate levels in our diets, or with supplementation, will significantly reduce recovery time,' said Mobbs. 'But beyond this, omega-3 also plays a vital role in 'red blood cell deformability.' This allows the red blood cells, which carry oxygen to the muscles, to stay flexible as they push through tight gaps in the capillaries, so the muscles get more oxygen when they tire, the point when they are needing it the most.'

The quality of the fish oil in Intelligent Labs' omega-3 also means that it doesn't cause digestion problems or lead to fishy burps that are so common with lower quality omega-3 products.
