JRS Pharma has introduced Vivacoat free, a titanium dioxide-free ready-to-use tablet coating.

Titanium dioxide will be banned as a food additive in the EU in 2022, with regulations expected to follow in other regions. Designed as a replacement for coatings containing Ti02, Vivacoat free offers customised solutions for both white and dark tablet cores.

The coating formulations are designed to offer high opacity across the full-colour spectrum. Both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formulations can benefit from the Ti02-free coating.
