Lesaffre, a French supplier of baker’s yeast and yeast extracts to the dietary supplement, functional food and pharmaceutical industries, will be exhibiting at CPhI Worldwide in Paris next month.
Determined to develop and commercialise ingredients in the area of human health and nutrition using its biotechnology expertise and its experience of working with yeasts and bacteria, the company offers probiotic and nutritional yeasts (high protein, high fibre, enhanced vitamin B complex content), yeasts fortified with trace elements such as selenium and vitamins, in addition to yeast extracts and yeast beta-glucans.
Pharmaceutical and food supplement laboratories and manufacturers of functional foods can use Lesaffre’s human care ingredients to formulate products with nutritional and/or health benefits for applications including gut health, immunity and well-being.
In 2013, the company launched Probisis BS, a spore-forming bacterium product that has been clinically tested for immune health applications. Now, widening its range of active ingredients, Lesaffre presents Lynside Pure SAMe for the treatment of depression, osteoarthritis and liver disorders.
