Company adds motivational and professional adaptive athlete Corey Reed, to encourage others to discover the adventurer within themselves

Lycored, an international wellness company at the forefront of the ingestible skincare market, and Official Skin Health Sponsor of this year’s GoPro Mountain Games, revealed its newest Brand Ambassador, Corey Reed, at the Games in Vail, Colorado. The announcement was made on the company's 2018 Letters of Love Tour, a component of Lycored’s #rethinkbeautiful campaign, which celebrates self-love and inner beauty.

As part of its campaign, Lycored held #rethinkbeautiful Blindfold Family Fitness Challenges and Blindfold Fitness Workouts. These classes were guided by Lycored’s newest Brand Ambassador and Adaptive Athlete, Corey Reed, a 35 year old blind, below-the-knee amputee who provides others with the inspiration, motivation, tools and knowledge to create a better life at every moment through physical fitness, a positive mindset, nutritional guidance and overall health awareness.

During each session, Corey provided participants with fun ways to learn how to navigate without sight, how to give and receive trust and how to pull from inner strength and resilience. This allowed participants to better appreciate all our senses and adapt and overcome unforeseen challenges.

As Corey can personally attest to, though his sight and leg were lost, so many richer things were discovered in the process

“By being blindfolded, guests were able to experience first-hand how appreciative our worlds become when we take away one of our senses,” said Zev Ziegler, Vice President of Brand & Marketing at Lycored. “As Corey can personally attest to, though his sight and leg were lost, so many richer things were discovered in the process. It is our hope that blindfolded guests were able to re-discover their inner being and, as a result, were able to inevitably redefine what true beauty is – as it was something that could only be felt within and not seen.”

In addition to the blindfolded challenges, Lycored encouraged both athletes and attendees to join the #rethinkbeautiful Letters of Love movement by taking a moment to write themselves a personal ‘love letter’ at the Letters of Love Writing Station displayed in Lycored’s “Shade Park;” this shady area helped spread Lycored’s #rethinkbeautiful message that beauty and wellness comes from the inside, out, while also serving as an additional layer of protection from the sun throughout the weekend.

It is Lycored’s mission to redefine beauty as a feeling that starts from within and change the perception of ingestible skincare, inspiring us to #rethinkbeautiful and love ourselves first.
