The benefits of Lycored’s real food ingredients will be brought to life on its stand at IFT by leading chef Tony Lagana of Culinary Systems
A dry tomato pulp (DTP) that offers an innovative three-in-one ingredient solution for prepared food products will take centre stage for Lycored at this year’s IFT (stand 4457).
DTP is a 100% natural real food ingredient from tomato that can be declared on the label simply as ‘Tomato.’ It adds a fresh, consistent red colour to sauces (including pasta sauces), condiments, soups, ready meals and processed meats with no risk of turning brown like some other colourants. In addition, it also provides an authentic cooked-from-scratch texture and a healthy fibre content.
Lycored will also showcase SANTE, a taste enhancer that provides a high concentration of the natural compounds that produce umami (the fifth taste) and kokumi (the Japanese word for deliciousness) to accentuate existing flavour characteristics while remaining taste neutral. SANTE enables product formulators to create deliciousness naturally and reduce levels of ingredients that can be unattractive on the label, such as salt, MSG and yeast.
The benefits of Lycored’s real food ingredients will be brought to life on its stand at IFT by leading chef Tony Lagana of Culinary Systems, who will create a range of delicious recipes that demonstrate how they can be formulated into products consumers will love.
Lycored, the global leader in carotenoids, will also showcase its range of Tomat-O-Red and Lyc-O-Beta natural colours – vibrant reds, oranges and yellows that make it easy for food and beverage manufacturers to stop using artificial ingredients. Natural colours from Lycored are certified Kosher and Halal, non-GMO, vegetarian and are heat, light and pH stable.
