Sites in Italy and France have a guaranteed satisfactory system to protect employees’ health and safety

Indena has been granted the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for its production sites in Settala (Milan, Italy) and Tours, France.

OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) identifies the internationally recognised occupational, health and safety management system standard.

This rule integrates the ISO 14001 certification related to the Environmental Management System, which Indena already obtained in the past for both its main production sites.

This certification guarantees that the company implemented and maintains a satisfactory management system to protect employees’ health and safety and is committed to improving it systematically, continuously and efficiently.

Indena is a company dedicated to the identification, development and production of active principles derived from plants, for use in the pharmaceutical, health food and personal care industries.

The certification rewards Indena’s structured policy and management system procedures implemented for the Safety and Health of employees in their work place.

These processes and routines lead to the reduction of events potentially dangerous to the health of employees or third parties temporarily operating on site.

“This certification confirms Indena’s strong commitment towards its employees’ safety and health,” said Luca Giorgetti, Managing Director.

“It performs by realising policies of prevention, protection and continuous improvement of work conditions in every area, from plants to production, to processes.”

“The goal for the near future is to obtain the certification for the other industrial sites based in Europe”.
