Quirino to head up Univar Brazil

Quirino is to replace interim President Normand Goyer, reporting directly to Univar\'s President and CEO Erik Fyrwald

Global chemical distributor Univar has appointed Marco Antonio Quirino as President of Univar Brazil. Quirino, who will replace interim President Normand Goyer, will be responsible for managing the company's Brazil business and operations, reporting directly to Univar's President and CEO Erik Fyrwald.

"We are excited to welcome Marco to the company as president of Univar Brazil," said Fyrwald. "His extensive background in the industry and his strong expertise in both specialty and commodity chemicals will enable us to strengthen our relationships with suppliers and further expand our customer base. I look forward to working with him as we enhance our footprint in Brazil and throughout South America."

Before joining Univar, Quirino worked with Braskem, Brazil's leading petrochemical manufacturer. Prior to this, Quirino spent 20 years with the Dow Chemical Company where he held a number of roles including Commercial Director for Plastics and Marketing Manager serving Latin America.
