At Fi Europe 2015, Univar Food Ingredients is offering enticing food and drink samples containing innovative and inspiring ingredients on stand 6D9 to show how they can help food developers and manufacturers to respond to the latest consumer taste trends.
With a broad portfolio of specialty products from the world’s leading producers, Univar provides high quality ingredients to satisfy what it regards as six of the most prevalent trends in the food market today: sugar reduction, sodium reduction, gluten-free, clean label, protein enrichment and lactose reduction. Through co-operation with key supply partners Ingredion, Fonterra and Novozymes, Univar will be demonstrating its offering of specialty ingredients that answer the call from consumers for more health-aware products and information transparency, with samples of baked goods and drinks.
Two gluten-free baked goods are being cooked up: a high quality chocolate muffin using PRECISA Bake GF texturising system and HOMECRAFT pulse for an added protein content; and a lemon cake, also containing PRECISA Bake GF. A high-fibre banana and pecan cake featuring HI-MAIZE starch will also be served at the show. These recipes are excellent examples of Culinology, the synthesis of culinary arts and food technology. Culinology translates the latest food trends into workable, appealing recipes for large-scale formulations, and is now available to all of Univar Food Ingredients’ customers.
In the area of sports nutrition and protein enrichment, Univar Food Ingredients will offer two unique, protein-infused drinks to demonstrate the versatile solutions available:
Fi Europe 2015 attendees can visit Univar’s team of Food Ingredients experts at stand 6D9, and also earn the chance to win a tablet computer by taking part in a fun 100 m race challenge involving a games console at Univar’s Sports Nutrition demo desk.
The team will also provide demonstrations of the new Univar Food Ingredients Product Picker, which allows Univar’s technical team to guide customers through a specialised selection process to find the ingredients that best suit their requirements. At the end of each day, drinks and canapés will be available at the stand for customers, suppliers, and friends of Univar Food Ingredients.
