New data on gut-muscle axis to be presented at 2015 ISSN conference

Ganeden Biotech, the makers of the patented probiotic GanedenBC30, has announced that new data showing the improvement of five protein utilisation end-points will be presented by Dr Ralf Jäger, FISSN, CISSN, MBA at the 12th Annual International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) conference, taking place in Austin (Texas, USA, 11-13 June).

The presentation, titled 'Probiotics Flex Their Muscles in Sports Nutrition: The Gut-Muscle-Axis,' is scheduled for Saturday 13 June from 2:00-2:50pm and is based on a study conducted by the University of Tampa and Increnovo LLC, which found that GanedenBC30 supports protein utilisation as measured by a reduction of muscle soreness and increased perceived recovery.

'In our study, co-administration of GanedenBC30 with protein was able to protect the muscle from damage as shown by perceptual measures and blood work, resulting in faster recovery and, most importantly, in increased performance,' said Dr Ralf Jäger.

'This is a true game changer in the world of probiotic research in sports, as this is the first study of a probiotic showing ergogenic effects in athletes,' he added.
