Rousselot expands ProTake hydrolysed collagen range

Rousselot has announced the extension of its ProTake portfolio of hydrolysed collagen.

Available in three variations, Bar, Powder and Foods, the range of products is designed for reformulating applications with increased collagen content, reduced fat and sugar levels, as well as enhanced taste and texture.

It aims to help brands create healthier versions of pre-existing products.

Reportedly, 21% of consumers globally have reported that they follow a protein-rich diet, while 68% and 54% of individuals are increasingly seeking out products with reduced sugar and fat levels, respectively.

The portfolio has been developed specifically to help producers meet these demands, while also being able to deliver on the taste and texture experience.

Globally, on average 72% of consumers report that texture is important to deliver a more interesting experience in food and drinks, and 2 in 5 people consider flavour a key purchasing factor. With carefully selected specifications, this range of innovative hydrolysed collagen addresses formulation issues such as solubility, off-taste and stabilization with a scientific approach, bringing final products a step closer to fitting perfectly with consumer demand.
