ASSOCHAM has awarded the health science company three awards at the Beauty, Wellness and Personal Care Awards in New Delhi
Dr Majeed, Sami-Sabinsa Group’s Founder & Chairman, receiving the ‘Legend of Natural Cosmeceuticals’ award from Sandeep Marwah Chancellor, AAFT University of Media & Art and Her Excellency Ms Jennifer Graham, Spouse of His Excellency Mr Nadir Patel, Canadian High Commission of India.
Sami-Sabinsa Group has been honoured with three awards by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) at the 3rd edition of their Beauty, Wellness and Personal Care Awards held in New Delhi.
ASSOCHAM acknowledged Sami-Sabinsa Group’s Founder & Chairman, Dr Muhammed Majeed, for his contribution towards shaping the Indian Cosmeceutical industry by presenting him with the “Legend of Natural Cosmeceuticals” award.
In addition, the Group received accolades for “Best Personal Care Product of the Year 2020” for its premium beauty product - Johara Turmeric Bath Soap and “Best Cosmetic Ingredient Manufacturer of the Year” for Sami Labs.
Commenting on the personal recognition, Majeed said: “It’s a tremendous honour to receive this award from ASSOCHAM. The Ayurveda-based approach to cosmetics has inspired formulas containing herbs and other natural ingredients that form an integral part of daily skin care regimens.”
“Highly regarded and valued, these products reaffirm the vast knowledge of the ancient Indian traditional system of medicine by providing excellent results. Johara is a scientifically-driven brand crafted from years of meticulous research and utilising time-tested botanical ingredients,” Majeed explained.
The group was previously honoured by ASSOCHAM in 2018 with the “Excellence Award for Best Raw Material/Ingredient Supplier,” and the Johara Cosmetics division with the “Excellence Award for Best Cosmetics Company” at the organisation’s second edition event held in New Delhi.
