Sonoma Nutraceuticals chooses Deacom ERP software solution
A targeted solution for process manufacturing
Sonoma Nutraceuticals, a private label manufacturer of a natural health products, including protein powders, tablets and capsules, has chosen Deacom, a US-based producer of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solution for nutraceutical manufacturing and other process-based manufacturing industries, as its supplier of a new ERP system.
A subsidiary of distribution company Body Plus Nutritional Products, Sonoma inherited an ERP system that relied heavily on manual processing to support lot tracking, inventory control, quality control and document management. It also required numerous customisations that had only a marginal impact while making the system difficult to use.
Sonoma decided therefore to take steps to ensure that it could continue to maintain its reputation for quality, while pursuing growth. It decided to implement a complete ERP system built specifically to address its multi-facility process manufacturing needs, and strengthen its process control.
Sonoma's Purchasing Manager Freddie Agnew said Deacom's system is very different from other ERP software.
'Having been through ERP implementations before, I know the pain and extra cost associated with customisations,' he said.
'The single system and fixed price model are what separates Deacom from everyone else. Knowing we won't be hit with any additional fees, even as things come up during implementation, is huge.'
