New office in Jakarta provides flavouring support for food and beverage manufacturers across Indonesia, as well as cheese and nutritional solutions

International flavour company, Synergy Flavours, a division of Carbery Group, has opened a new representative office in Jakarta, Indonesia, to support the growth in the region.

The new facility, which officially opened on 24 July, will house application and flavour creation laboratories, as well as administration services. The new centre will provide flavouring support for food and beverage manufacturers across Indonesia, as well as cheese and nutritional solutions.

In addition to its full range of sweet and savoury flavourings, Synergy’s rich dairy heritage is provided by its Irish-based parent company Carbery Group, a leading global manufacturer of nutritional dairy ingredients and cheese.

The expertise of Synergy and Carbery will be combined to support the on-going development of authentic cheese, butter and milk flavours.

Geoff Allen, Managing Director, Synergy Flavours (Thailand), commented: “The opening of the Jakarta office is an important first step to enable further investment into Indonesia. We are excited by the pace at which Indonesia is changing in terms of taste and look forward to working with our local partners to develop new flavours to suit the evolving local palate.”

Steve Morgan, CEO of Synergy Europe & Asia, added: “We are committed to growing our global footprint and so are delighted to be making this first step into establishing an Indonesian business. The combination of group resources, the extensive flavours offering of Synergy, and the new location means we are uniquely positioned to support customers across the region.”
