Tackling hidden hunger at Nutrition Integrates

Published: 3-Jun-2015

Rapidly becoming established as a must-attend event, Nutrition Integrates returns to London to promote debate and discussion amongst senior level strategists from the nutrition and wider business communities

Nutrition Integrates, the UK's premier food, nutrition, health and wellness industry conference, returns to the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel (London, UK) on 4 June, bringing together strategists and market leaders from the nutrition community for debate and discussion.

'Nutrition has never been more relevant than it is today. While more than one billion adults globally are overweight and suffer from lifestyle-related diseases, two billion people go to bed every night suffering from malnutrition,' comments event chair, David Forrest, former Executive Vice President, Nutritional Products, Abbott Nutrition.

He added: 'Every day, we hear about how nutrition influences our societies; and, as leaders, we have a great opportunity to ensure that the education and inspiration of these populations leads them to greater health and longer and happier lives. I would therefore encourage you to immerse yourself in the panel discussions and open forum debates: share your views, contribute and shape the thoughts of others. Like all things in life, the more we give, the more we get.'

Under the central theme of Working Together for a Healthier Europe, the event will open with a keynote presentation from Hanno Cappon, Vice President R&D Nutricia Medical Nutrition, Danone, on the topic of Integrated Healthcare: Now and the Future. With the cradle to grave applications of integrated healthcare gaining momentum in the life science industries, this keynote will take a closer look at how the nutrition sector is plotting a course towards whole lifespan health.

The event is expected to attract more than 50 speakers and 150 attendees from a wide range of life science sectors to discuss topics such as medical nutrition, weight management, the role of protein in sports nutrition, new product development, cognitive health, hidden hunger and much more.
