Valensa announces immunity enhancing Immunum chewable tablets
Triple action preworkout and recovery breakthrough features two types of immune boosting ingredients along with astaxanthin and Manuka Honey
Valensa International has initiated production and first deliveries of a pre- and post-workout immunity boosting and recovery chewable called Immunum.
Immunum contains 1,3-beta glucan from German brewer’s yeast, astaxanthin, New Zealand Manuka honey and an algae-derived lipopolysaccharide, packing a one–two punch when it comes to immune system health.
Immunum is a formulation that activates both the innate and adaptive immune systems. The immune boosting effects work within 1-2 hours and continue to work during exercise and recovery. The sugar- and caffeine-free chewable should be taken before exercise and optionally after a workout.
According to Dr Rudi E. Moerck, President and CEO of Valensa, the Immunum formulation represents a comprehensive approach to stimulating the immune system for optimal performance related to the effects of workouts.
'People don’t realise that numerous studies have shown that the human immune system is only at full strength early in the morning. During the day, the immune system actually weakens and reaches its weakest point after exercise,' he said.
'Most people don’t realise that working out in a gym or other public places actually exposes you to a greater risk of illness because your immune system is compromised during and after exercise and workouts. A comprehensive approach to immune support
Immunum is formulated to give multiple types of support to a stressed immune system.
1: The innate immune system is activated by German brewer’s yeast 1,3-beta glucan made under the German beer purity law of 1516 (500 years of the Reinheitsgebot). This beta-glucan is the purest on the market and in-licensed exclusively to Valensa. Production of this immune booster does not employ harsh chemicals like competing products.
2: The adaptive immune system is stimulated by an algae-derived lipopolysaccharide natural antigen.
The formula contains Zanthin natural astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant well known for its ability to prevent oxidative stress during and after exercise. The Manuka honey is a source of energy with a long tradition as a health-supporting ingredient. As great tasting, chewable, tablets they are convenient for people on-the-go.
Clinical trials in process
Valensa’s objective is to be the very first company to offer multi-ingredient, clinically trialled immuno-stimulant formulations that will outperform the current products on the market.
The in vitro and ex vivo clinical trials will directly compare Immunum with commercially available competitive products by directly measuring the known biomarkers associated with human immunity. These include cytokine production, natural killer cell production and activation, killer T-cells, monocytes and T lymphocytes.
