Vitatech announces the sale of its nutritional products manufacturing business

New company, Vit-Best Nutrition, will offer all of the products and services for which Vitatech is known

Vitatech Nutritional Sciences has announced the sale of its nutritional products manufacturing business to Kingdomway, USA.

Vitatech is a legacy contract manufacturer of nutritional and dietary supplements founded more than 60 years ago in Orange County, California. Kingdomway, USA, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the world's largest manufacturer of coenzyme Q10 and other commonly used raw materials.

The new company will be named Vit-Best Nutrition and will offer all of the products and services for which Vitatech is known, including powders, two-piece capsules, tablets, capsule banding, enteric coating, custom coating, full range packing services and product formulation.

Vit-Best will be led by Gale Bensussen as both CEO and President. Bensussen brings extensive nutritional supplement manufacturing experience to the firm. He was a founding partner and former President of Leiner Health Products, one of the world's largest manufacturers of nutritional supplements and over-the-counter drugs.

During his 32 years with Leiner, his many accomplishments included leading nine acquisitions and integrations. Since 2006, Bensussen has served as Chief Executive Officer of Doctor's Best, a science-based nutritional supplement company located in San Clemente (California, USA).

Thomas Tierney, Vitatech's founding President and CEO, will serve as a Senior Adviser to Vit-Best. All other members of Vitatech's management and staff will remain at Vit-Best in their current roles. Vit-Best will continue to manufacture from Vitatech's pharmaceutically licensed, cGMP facility in Tustin.

Vitatech has been known for providing a level of quality and attention that exceeds the requirements of many regulatory agencies. Its entire supply chain, from ingredients through to packaging, has been devoted to delivering the healthiest, most environmentally friendly products available. 'Vit-Best will expand upon this legacy,' commented Bensussen.

'As a contract manufacturer,' Bensussen states, 'Vit-Best will remain intensely focused on providing the highest quality nutritional and dietary supplements as we move forward in the global market for nutritional products. This, of course, means that we will continue to only use pure, top-quality ingredients, with our in-house analytical laboratory monitoring every stage of production to ensure the integrity of all processes and products.'
