Virginia Dare will highlight its expertise in flavour extracts and modulation through a range of trending application samples at its IFT FIRST.
At booth S2524, the company will showcase a range of flavour concepts for trending applications such as functional beverages and gummies.
“We’re putting the spotlight on exciting flavors that can enhance the taste experience and product differentiation of trending applications," noted Philip Caputo, Virginia Dare’s marketing and consumer insights manager.
“Consumers inherently link certain flavors with certain health benefits they’re seeking. For example, citrusy flavors are a perfect fit for energy-forward applications with a focus on alertness.”
IFT FIRST attendees can experience flavor’s role in key application categories by sampling the following:
- Whey Protein Shake: Ready-to-mix (RTM) salted caramel-flavored whey protein shake sporting indulgent natural flavours and no added sugar
- Hydration Stick Pack: RTM rainbow sherbert-flavored hydration stick pack made with natural flavors, electrolytes from coconut water, and a stevia and monk fruit blend
- Mushroom Gummy: Mixed berry lemonade-flavored mushroom gummy with functional ingredients for cognitive support, cellular repair and overall wellness.
- Pre+Probiotic Fizzy: Ready-to-drink (RTD) apple honey green tea-flavored sparkling canned beverage with prebiotic fibre and probiotics
- Bourbon Cola Float: RTD alcohol-free bourbon, cola, and vanilla ice cream-flavored sparkling canned cocktail
- Ice Cream Sandwich: Mini chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream sandwich made with pure vanilla extract.
