The company will be showcasing a range of functional food and beverage concepts catering towards consumers on GLP-1 medications

Wellness ingredient specialist Balchem has announced it will be attending IFT First 2025.

At booth #3418, the company will showcase its latest functional food and beverage solutions through a number of prototypes.

This includes INjoy-powered beverage systems, MeatShure snack sticks and a high-protein chocolate oat soft serve concept.

The INJoy beverage system will be demonstrated with two on-trend beverage concepts, including a raspberry hibiscus flavoured functional water.

INJoy are designed to simplify the formulation and manufacturing process for a wide variety of functional beverage applications, and integrates sweeteners, stabilisers, mouthfeel modifiers and more.

The solution is also customisable, allowing brands to follow trends as and when they arise.

IFT First attendees will also be able to try meat sticks made with Balchem's MeatShure, which eliminates the need for lengthy fermentation times, while eliminating the need for added sugar.

The recipe for a healthy lifestyle

As a rapidly increasing proportion of the population begin their weight management journey with GLP-1 medications, this population is redefining consumer behaviour and purchasing patterns.

This demographic is primarily looking for products packed with nutrients like protein, healthy fats and fibres, so brands must create functional, yet indulgent foods and beverages to cater to this need.

Balchem has catered to this consumer group with its plant-based, high-protein soft serve concept, which features the VitalBlend oat creamer base.

The company will also showcase its GLP-1 supporting beverage.

The Recipe for a Healthy Lifestyle: High Protein, Healthy Fats, High Fiber

"Despite wanting to lose weight, people don’t want to lose the joy of eating. Our chocolate oat soft serve is a creamy, plant-based frozen dessert that combines deep cocoa richness with the natural sweetness of oats. In fact, Balchem's VitalBlend oat creamer base adds a very mild undertone of oats, which you might miss if you aren't looking for it,” comments Kavya Dileep, Prototype Developer & Food Scientist at Balchem.

“This is just one example of how our VitalBlend base offers a multifunctional, premium creamer option with enhanced cold-water solubility and clean flavor. It’s an excellent choice for frozen treats too."
