Symrise and Probi have announced they will present a portfolio of science-backed health and wellness solutions at this year's Vitafoods Europe show in Barcelona.
This comes as the companies strengthen their strategic collaboration, following Symrise's acquisition of Probi and the launch of its Care & Wellness Division.
Exhibiting from 5-7 May, the partners said the showcase will reflect growing consumer demand for effective, nature-inspired nutraceutical ingredients spanning digestive health, immunity, beauty-from-within and healthy ageing.
Symrise and Probi will also host an Innovation Lunch on May 5.
Among the key launches is Hibicyan, a hibiscus extract developed to support blood flow and beauty-from-within through microvascular circulation.
Symrise said in vitro studies indicate potential vascular health benefits, while toxicological assessments support its suitability for long-term daily use.
Hibicyan will feature in the company's "Blooming Beauty" beverage concept alongside Acerowell, an acerola-based healthy ageing ingredient rich in vitamin C.
The formulation previously won the Taste Bar Award for Best Tasting Nutricosmetic Beverage at in-cosmetics Global.
Probi will also debut LP6594, a postbiotic version of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus 6594.
The heat-inactivated strain is designed to retain biological activity while offering greater stability than live probiotics.
According to the company, studies show LP6594 can increase anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 levels, support gut barrier integrity and help regulate immune responses linked to inflammation.
With a minimum effective daily dose of 5 billion TFU, it is positioned for use in functional foods and dietary supplements where shelf life and formulation flexibility are priorities.
Additionally, Probi will introduce its Sports & Active Nutrition probiotic solution to the broader nutraceutical market to target cardio-respiratory fitness, nutrient absorption and digestive balance — key factors in supporting active lifestyles.
At its core is Lactiplantibacillus plantarum 299v (LP299V), one of the most clinically researched probiotic strains globally. Research highlights benefits in digestive health, cardiovascular function, iron absorption, oxygen delivery and performance markers such as VO2 max.
The companies will additionally highlight BLIS by Probi, featuring the proprietary probiotic strains BLIS K12 and BLIS M18 for oral health applications.
BLIS K12 is targeted at ear and throat immune support, while BLIS M18 focuses on healthy teeth and gums.
At the show, Symrise and Probi will also highlight finished product concepts across four key categories: metabolic health, women's health, health span and pet health.
These include formulations for gut and metabolic balance, menopausal support, cognition, mobility and skin health, alongside companion animal products targeting urinary tract health, joint function, vitality and healthy ageing in dogs and cats.
