The company was founded in Barcelona in 1985 as a local agent and distributor of APIs for human and veterinary applications, fine chemicals, and intermediates. In human applications, the company supplies antibiotics and anti-invectives, cardio-metabolic products, gastro-intestinal medicines as well as vitamins and minerals. In the veterinary sector, the distributor provides anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, anti parasitics and general tonics.
Integration of the Spanish company is part of a strategy to consolidate the group's existing business in Spain, to differentiate the product list offered in the pharmaceutical sector and to develop commercial networks. With Deltapharma becoming part of the group, synergies at the service of customers expand considerably, the companies say.
