Lonza officially opens new plant in Nansha, China
Products and services include niacinamide (vitamin B3) and the L-Carnitine products for both human and animal foods and dietary supplements
Lonza Guangzhou Nansha has officially opened its new niacinamide plant in Nansha, China. Invited dignitaries included district and other government officials, as well as the Swiss Consul General for Guangzhou. Approximately 300 people attended the event. In addition to the crystal ball launching ceremony, the event activities included welcome addresses, a plant tour, refreshments and traditional lion dancing.
The new niacinamide plant has been running and stable since 1 July and will satisfy the growing market demand in terms of both capacity and products, Lonza said.
In total, the Nansha site covers an area of 220,000m2. Products and services include niacinamide (vitamin B3) and the L-Carnitine products for both human and animal foods and supplements; hygiene and preservative products; active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs); chemical intermediates and custom development services.
