The silicone-based product disperses in hot and cold aqueous systems

Cambridge Commodities has announced the launch of its latest ingredient, Librifoam, a silicone anti-foaming agent designed for use across the sports nutrition, health & wellbeing and food & beverage industries.

The product is designed to tackle the challenge brands and manufacturers face when creating finished products. Product Innovation Specialist, Zeke Stevens said: “Librifoam is the perfect partner to minimise the unwanted foam in a variety of applications. Librifoam helps to ensure finished products are high quality and deliver a great consumer experience.”

Librifoam is a silicone-based antifoam emulsion which disperses in both hot and cold aqueous systems, requiring mild agitation to disperse it in the foaming system. It’s suitable for applications in sectors including industrial, food processing drink and blends.

Zeke added “One of the most exciting innovations within the functional beverage space right now is clear protein shake applications. It’s a unique alternative to the milkshake style products that you would commonly see in the market and Librifoam helps during the manufacturing process.”
