The extract has been widely used to enhance the bioavailability of several dietary supplement ingredients. Bioperine’s bioavailability benefits are supported by 8 clinical studies in addition to more than 63 clinical studies published on other health benefits.

With all of the clinical data available, BioPerine looks set to become "the most clinically studied black pepper extract brand in the world," according to a Sabinsa spokesperson.

Black pepper is the one of the most revered spices and has been consumed for millennia. It is exceptionally safe and displays a vast array of health benefits. BioPerine requires a very low dosage of 5mg per serving to achieve its bioavailability enhancing benefits, which makes it an ingredient of choice for supplements.

Sabinsa’s BioPerine received GRAS status in 2010. It is standardised to 95% piperine and is the only product sourced out of black pepper to obtain an original patented status for its bio-enhancing property of nutrients. It is the only black pepper extract to be validated for its safety and efficacy for nutritional use.
