Cleveland-based microbiome specialist Biohm Technologies has announced its probiotic blend Mycohsa has received a Natural Product Number (NPN) from Health Canada.
Mycohsa is Biohm Technologies' flagship probiotic blend, developed to support digestive health and help maintain a healthy gut microbiome balance.
The approval applies to Mycohsa 1 billion CFU capsules (NPN/PLA Number 80148767) and will now allow supplement firms marketing products in Canada to formulate with Mycohsa and use a range of permitted probiotic structure/function claims relating to digestive and gastrointestinal health.
The brand said that formulators using ingredients with an NPN can often find that their product development and registration efforts in Canada are more streamlined.

Having an approved NPN gives brands additional confidence and flexibility when developing products for Canada.
