Botanical specialist BioViVo Science has achieved two organic certifications: its Jeffersonville, Indiana, botanical extraction and toll processing facility and its US-made organic broccoli seed ingredient, branded as BrocoVio O.
The certifications come as consumer familiarity reaches an all-time high; nearly 90% of people recognise the USDA Organic Seal, making it one of the most reliable food verification labels on the market.
The new certification for the Indiana facility gives brands an additional option for developing and producing organic botanical ingredients in the United States.
The organic seal complements the facility's existing quality and industry credentials: FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, cGMP, Kosher, Halal and NASC.
The company said that it also participates in EcoVadis, Sedex and the UN Global Compact.

BrocoVio O is the company's broccoli seed ingredient, launched from its new broccoli extract platform, BrocoVio.
Broccoli seed has a naturally high content of glucoraphanin, which is a precursor to glucosinolates that contribute to the formation of sulforaphane.
This ingredient is geared toward applications in areas of increasing interest, such as metabolic health, cellular health, detoxification and cardiovascular wellness.
New ingredients showcased at SupplySide Global
BioVivo Science added that it plans to soft-launch its organic acerola and cranberry ingredients at this year's SupplySide Global show.
The firm will also showcase its new VeriPalmetto, an authenticated saw palmetto ingredient made in the US, alongside other US-made botanicals, including American ginseng, natural caffeine from green tea and stevia, as well as its botanical extraction and toll processing services.
SupplySide Global attendees can visit BioVivo Science at booth #5065A to sample a no-sugar-added protein beverage formulated with functional botanicals.
BVS will also participate in the Tasting Bar in Hall F, featuring an American ginseng and turmeric wellness shot.
