Cytoplan launches new probiotic for women

Published: 23-Nov-2022

Contains pure and naturally fermented strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria that are able to survive the challenges of the GI tract

Cytoplan has revealed a new probiotic formulated for women provides support for the gut, vagina and urinary microbiome.

This multi-strain targeted formula is ideal for women of all ages and contains nine strains of live probiotic bacteria, including the highly researched strain Lactobacillus helveticus, which has research attesting to its efficacy in female health issues. Each capsule will provide a culture of 3.5 billion live bacteria.

Amanda Williams, CEO of Cytoplan who launched Women’s Biotic this month said: “The balance of bacteria within the body can be easily disrupted by factors such as stress, poor diet, excess alcohol, illness and antibiotic use and so including a probiotic can help us to maintain this important balance of beneficial bacteria.”

Women’s Biotic has been created with GUARD (Gut Acid Resistant Delivery) technology; a patented, innovative and natural technology which protects the bacterial strains from stomach acid and enables the timed release of probiotics within the intestines. This maximises the probiotic efficacy at the ideal site of action in the body.

Containing pure and naturally fermented strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria that are able to survive the challenges of the GI tract, including stomach acid and suitable for vegetarians and children from four years old; Women’s Biotic also works well alongside other supportive formulas for sleep, mood, immunity and the prevention of infection. It is also stable at room temperature with no need for refrigeration.

This targeted formula can either be used to maintain health, or for more acute situations where additional support is required too

Williams continued: “We believe the key is to choose a probiotic that is specifically created with age, gender and lifestyle in mind. We are so pleased to launch a probiotic specifically created for women to support the microbiome across key areas of female health. This targeted formula can either be used to maintain health, or for more acute situations where additional support is required too.”
