Lerøy Seafood has launched a novel naturally-derived iron nutraceutical, SalmoFer.

The low dose Nordic salmon-derived ingredient addresses many of the issues that plague today’s iron supplement market, including gastrointestinal (GI) issues, the need to take vitamin C to ensure its absorption and poor absorbency.

Preclinical studies have also shown that SalmoFer can boost blood iron levels in one dose — highlighting the ingredient’s rapid ability to address iron deficiency.

To find out more about SalmoFer, how it works, who it’s for and how formulators can use it, Annabel Kartal-Allen chatted with Blake Ebersole, Founder of NaturPro Scientific and Matt Brown, Founder of NutraPath Advisors.
