Seppic launches six-formula pet care formulation kit using SepiFriend ingredients

Published: 15-May-2026

The brand has unveiled "The tail-ored pet care collection," a formulation kit of six ready-to-use concepts spanning cleansing, coat hygiene and targeted care for dogs, cats and horses, developed using its SepiFriend ingredient range and validated in vitro on reconstructed canine epidermis

Speciality ingredients company Seppic has announced the launch of its new formulation kit called "The tail-ored pet care collection."

The launch follows on from the company's debut of its dedicated line of ingredients, Sepifriend, for companion animals.

The new kit comprises six formulations designed to address manufacturers' specific care and hygiene requirements for pets.

Why this matters

With more than half of the global population owning pets, the demand for grooming products has surged. Safety and natural ingredients are also a major consumer purchasing driver, a demand that Seppic said aligns with the cosmetics industry.

Animal physiology requires a specialised approach since pet skin is three to five times thinner than human skin and has a more neutral pH.

To address these needs, Seppic created this new collection of six formulas featuring Sepifriend ingredients. These formulations provide high naturality and regulatory compliance for a three-step care routine.

Rigorous in vitro testing on Reconstructed Canine Epidermis shows no impact on tissue viability, making them suitable for both leave-on and rinse-off applications.

"The tail-ored pet care collection" involves a three-step routine for dogs, cats or horses, including cleansing, moisturising and specific area care.

Seppic added that the new kit features high-performance functional ingredients, including sulfate-free foamers, solubilisers, rheology modifiers, emulsifiers and emollients, to create textures with optimal viscosity and sensory profiles that are adapted to both the pet's comfort and the owner's expectations.
