To mark this milestone, the company will shine a spotlight on the latest science behind the ingredient and unveil the findings of a new consumer research study exploring its effect on post-menopausal women.

Visitors are invited to booth #K130 to sample new prototype applications of Kaneka Ubiquinol targeting a wide range of health areas, showcasing how brands can leverage the ingredient to help consumers to live life to the full.

Visitors to booth #K130 can explore the history of Kaneka Ubiquinol, supported by over 45 years of research and over 90 scientific studies, demonstrating the mitochondrial effects of ubiquinol at a cellular level.

Attendees are invited to discover new delivery formats with tasting samples on the stand – from gummies and easy-to-swallow capsules to snack bars. These applications target a wide range of health areas – from fertility and sports nutrition to cognitive and mental health, cardiovascular health, beauty-from-within and healthy ageing.

Kaneka Ubiquinol will also feature in the New Product Zone, where it will be included in two new finished dosage applications: Daily Essentials - a multivitamin from Nutrisan to support overall health, boost immunity and reduce fatigue - and QuatroQuinol7 - a capsule created in collaboration with Gnosis by Lesaffre to support fertility and conception.

Visitors can also try the company’s raw energy Belgian chocolate bar prototype, UB chocpro, at the Tasting Zone.

The consumer verdict: post-menopausal women share their feedback

At the show, Kaneka Nutrients will reveal the results of its latest consumer research project exploring the effects of Kaneka Ubiquinol based on live feedback from 200 menopausal women.

The research, conducted in collaboration with an independent French research institute and French lifestyle influencer Virgine Florin – analysed the effects of Ubiquinol supplementation, as experienced by post-menopausal women.

As part of this project, Florin recruited 200 of her female followers who were experiencing the after-effects of the menopause and invited them to participate in the project. The women were asked to take a 200mg/day dosage of Kaneka Ubiquinol over a two-month period, monitor the effects and report back on their observations.

Filip Van hulle, General Manager of Kaneka Nutrients Europe, said “With consumers beginning to talk more openly about the effects of the menopause on health and wellness, there is a growing appetite for supplement manufacturers to develop new solutions in this space,” comments Van hulle. “Recent clinical studies have demonstrated the potential of Kaneka Ubiquinol to support post-menopausal health, but with this project we wanted to go direct to consumers to understand their first-hand experience of ubiquinol supplementation.”
