Bioglan Muscle Protect was named Australia’s Product of the Year for wellbeing support by the Consumer Survey of Product Innovation

The global market for muscle health products is strengthening, with many consumers turning to ingredients that can improve their performance. PharmaCare Laboratories’ Bioglan Muscle Protect was recently named Australia’s Product of the Year for wellbeing support by the Consumer Survey of Product Innovation.

The Consumer Survey of Product Innovation is the world’s largest consumer-voted award for product innovation. It serves as a shortcut for shoppers looking for the best products in their market, and it rewards manufacturers for quality and innovation. 

In Australia, the Product of the Year seal on a product label is backed by the votes of more than 5,000 consumers.

“While the bone and joint health markets are already well established, muscle health is still somewhat neglected, though it’s arguably he most vital. Many consumers are unaware that they lose 15-20% of their muscle mass each decade. Achieving total musculoskeletal health will help them maximise their longevity and quality of life.”

 

Filling an emerging demand

Bioglan is a premium, pharmacy-only supplement brand in Australia, targeting consumers ages 50-plus. The brand is known for being the first to bring new science-backed ingredients and formulations to market.

“It’s about finding new niches where customers may not have a product that supports a health need,” explains Porm. “Muscles are used for almost every movement in the body. Maintaining muscle health as you get older is vital. There’s enough supporting evidence about myHMB+D3 for the pharmacists to talk about its benefits, relative to age-related muscle loss. We knew we needed it in our product line.”
