The three-strong functional juice range caters to women’s health across menstruation, pregnancy and the menopause by providing key vitamins, minerals and nutrients

Wellness brand Benefit Juice has debuted a range of women’s health-targeting functional beverages.

The juices are designed to cater to women’s health at all life stages, including menstruation, pregnancy and menopause.

To find out more about the personalised range, the ingredients used and the growing demand for beverages with specialist health benefits, NBR caught up with Gavin Cox, Founder of Benefit Juice.

The shift towards personalisation

The food and beverage sector is highly dynamic, with trends coming and going at a rapid pace.

However, healthy juices have stood the test of time, being a highly popular option amongst consumers due to their pleasant flavour and high vitamin content.

Although juices remain popular, consumers are increasingly looking for beverages that can offer more.

“Sensory appeal is no longer enough, as consumers are now looking for beverages that can provide functional benefits outside of what a juice could traditionally offer,” comments Gavin.

To address this consumer preference, Benefit Juice has created the women’s range “to prioritise the health needs of women, who are often underrepresented in research and product development.”

“It is essential for brands to prioritise women’s health — particularly as a woman’s nutritional and physiological needs evolve through different life stages,” he stresses.

As menopause has largely been left unaddressed through research, Benefit Juice saw the need for effective, science-backed solutions to cater to this population.

“A report from our partner GenM found that most women feel unsupported during the menopause, and with 1 billion going through it globally, the industry must focus on creating solutions for this population.”

The range

According to Gavin, the novel range of juices is formulated to deliver essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

“Our formulations are designed to support women’s unique physiological needs across different life stages, from menstruation and pregnancy to menopause.”

Each targeted formulation complements a balanced diet and active lifestyle, and was created in tandem with registered nutritionist Jo Meadows. The product range includes:

  • Benefit Menosupport: A mix of berries, sour cherry, beetroot and apple, this juice is enriched with essential vitamins that contribute to cognitive function and hormonal balance — including vitamins B12, B6, B2, B5, B3 and C. The solution also contains vitamin B1, magnesium, calcium and zinc.

  • Benefit Wellness: This juice contains a blend of mango, passionfruit and carrot, and is designed for overall health. It contains a blend of vitamins B12, B6, B2, B5, B3 and C, as well as minerals iron and magnesium. These ingredients contribute to a reduction in tiredness, bone maintenance, hormonal stability, immunity and psychological function.

“By focusing on women’s health, brands can play a crucial role in addressing nutritional gaps with targeted, evidence-based formulations that support hormonal balance, cognitive function,” states Gavin.

“Providing tailored nutritional solutions empowers women to take charge of their health while also raising awareness and education around key life-stage challenges,” he concludes.
