BGG to showcase sweet and spicy flavour combinations at SupplySide Global

The firm will highlight its natural ingredient portfolio, including ApplePhenon, TheraPrimE and AstaZine, in functional beverages and snack bar concepts at this year's show

Ingredient supplier BBG has announced it will be exhibiting its natural ingredient portfolio at this year's SupplySide Global show, held October 28-30 in Las Vegas.

The brand — based at booth 7743 — will be showcasing new concepts such as a sweet and spicy beverage for weight management and indulgent snack bars for mental wellbeing.

"Swicy" drinks and autumn-inspired snacks

On display will be ApplePhenon, a polyphenol- and procyanidin-rich apple extract that delivers clinically proven weight-management results.

To highlight its potential in on-trend formats, BGG has developed a functional beverage featuring a sweet and spicy watermelon-tamarind-cayenne flavour profile.

Also on display will be two snack bar concepts with fruity flavour profiles: brown butter-red apple and cranberry crunch.

These will contain TheraPrimE tocotrienols and AstaZine astaxanthin, which have been shown to work both separately and in combination to support cognitive health, boost emotional wellness and improve sleep.

BGG’s experts will be available throughout the show to discuss the science behind the three ingredients and their wide-ranging formulation possibilities.

Tamara Higgins, BGG’s Managing Director for Americas and Head of Western Regional Sales, said: "Modern consumers increasingly want exciting new products that support mental wellness, sleep, weight management, and positive ageing."

Our portfolio of natural ingredients has the formulation versatility and scientific backing to help manufacturers create innovative food, drink, and supplements that tackle these need states.

BGG said that it will provide detailed insights into ApplePhenon, TheraPrimE and AstaZine in a presentation titled “Metabolic Resilience and Cognitive Vitality Across the Lifespan," which will take place in the Product Development Theatre (7881) from 11:30 AM to 11:50 AM on October 28.
