The Italian company will focus on its Anthrocran, Berbevis, Meriva and Relissa ingredients during the event
Indena is currently exhibiting at Vitafoods 2022, both during the virtual show from May 2-13, and throughout the in-person show, from May 10-12. On stand 84 at the Palexpo in Geneva, the company will welcome clients and stakeholders to explore its latest products and services.
Anthocran phytosome is a cranberry extract, a health-food ingredient based on the company’s proprietary Phytosome formulation technology, which enhances and optimises the delivery of the extract where effects are needed.
The ingredient is standardised in proanthocyanidins and contains the full polyphenols profile of natural cranberry, including flavonols, anthocyanins and phenolic acids.
Clinical evidence reportedly shows the cranberry extract is a valid supplementation for subjects wishing to keep their urinary tract healthy, with a good tolerability profile.
Relissa is a health-food ingredient based on the formulation of lemon balm extract from Melissa officinalis with phospholipids, designed to optimise dispersion in gastrointestinal fluids.
Leveraging Melissa officinalis’ calming and mood-relaxing effect, Relissa can help consumers to face and manage a stressful lifestyle. The extracts are sourced from European origins with an eye to the environmental footprint and sustainability.
Meriva, the company’s curcumin phytosome, is documented with more than 35 clinical studies evaluating 2000 subjects. Its efficacy is reportedly demonstrated against various conditions, including cardiovascular, intestinal and ocular health, as well as joint health, healthy blood levels and renal ageing.
Finally, Berbevis is a recently introduced phytosome composition derived from Berberis aristata. Clinical evidence has indicated the ingredient may assist blood sugar control, which represents a significant global health challenge.
“We’re happy to join Vitafoods 2022 with some exciting news, starting from the products we’re going to present as the most recent results of the company’s commitment to performance, innovation and quality in nutraceuticals, for the benefit of human wellbeing,” said Francesca de Rensis, Marketing Director at Indena. “Anthocran, Phytosome, Relissa, Meriva and Berbevis. Each of these products represents a natural help for some of the most urgent and current health conditions related to today’s lifestyle.”
