Kirkman, an Oregon-based nutraceutical company, has introduced a new chewable chocolate flavored B12 vitamin supplement (0523-120).

Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble B vitamin that is involved in many of the body's biochemical processes. The body requires vitamin B12 to convert carbohydrates into energy. Vitamin B12 also supports the maintenance of healthy homocysteine levels and a healthy nervous system.

Methyl B12, the form used in Kirkman's new product, is the active form of vitamin B12. It is more bioavailable than cyanocobalamin, the form of B12 commonly used in multivitamin formulations.

Methyl B12 activates chemical pathways that are part of the human sulfation system, which performs several detoxification reactions. Methyl B12 also raises the available amount of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe) in the body, which can elevate mood and reduce stress.

Kirkman's chewable methyl B12 chocolate wafers offer an easy and delicious way to add methyl B12 to your supplement regimen. The wafers have a creamy, chocolate taste and can be chewed or dissolved in the mouth, providing 2500µg of methyl B12.
