Rousselot to showcase clean-label formulations at FI & HI Europe

The company will also be displaying a range of samples from its gelatin and collagen portfolio

Rousselot, Darling Ingredients’ health brand and the global leader of collagen-based solutions, will highlight its clean-label and sustainable solutions at this year’s FiE and HiE events.

At the booth, visitors will be able to connect virtually with experts from its Global Application Laboratory and talk about NPD or other formulation questions. The company says this hybrid approach reflects its global outlook and commitment to delivering application insights to customers and industry partners.

The company will also be displaying a range of samples from its gelatin and collagen portfolio.

Gelatin is a sustainable ingredient solution suitable for use in clean-label gummy confectionery or dairy products as well as pharmaceutical delivery forms. At the events, Rousselot will showcase its SiMoGel gelatin technology, designed to enable the production of soft gummies and centre-filled gummies, without traditional starch depositing. Also known as ‘gummy caps’, these liquid-centre gummies reportedly enable high-API content in a format suitable for people of all ages. Through the company’s starch-free production process, these gummies can be manufactured in 15 minutes.

Attendees can sample several SiMoGel-based application samples, including gummy caps for immunity support, pain relief and sore throats, as well as a sugar-free nutraceutical gummy with a high 10 mg dose of zinc.

Collagen peptides have been shown to contribute to the maintenance of healthy connective tissues such as skin, bones, cartilage and joints. At FiE and HiE, Rousselot highlight the many strength-supporting benefits offered by its premium bioactive collagen peptide solution, Peptan.

With the recent launch of Peptan Marine, a range of premium collagen peptides sourced from 100% wild-caught white fish, the company has expanded its portfolio with a product certified by the Marine Stewardship Council. The product is designed to provide nutricosmetics and nutraceutical brands a high-quality collagen source suitable for the growing number of more conscientious consumers.

Visitors to Rousselot’s stand will be welcome to try various functional samples of the company’ collagen peptides. These include nut and seed-based ‘beauty bites’ as well two Peptan Marine shots containing DSM premixes – a ginseng ‘beauty shot’ and an ‘immunity shot’ featuring elderberry extract.
