RFI Ingredients will showcase its new NSR (Natural Sustained Release) delivery technology alongside its expanded portfolio of nutritional ingredients and formulation solutions at SupplySide Global 2026 in Las Vegas.
The US-based ingredients and manufacturing company will exhibit at Booth #5965 from 28-30 October, with NSR among the key technologies being presented to supplement, functional food and beverage developers.
RFI expands delivery technology platform
NSR is a pH-triggered protein-polysaccharide coacervation system designed to protect nutritional actives as they pass through the stomach and provide controlled release further along the gastrointestinal tract.
According to RFI, the technology is intended to help formulators address challenges around ingredient stability, release profiles and tolerability, while providing an alternative to conventional immediate-release delivery systems.
The platform adds to RFI’s existing advanced delivery technologies, including Infusome liposomal delivery and ProMulsion emulsion technology.
The company said that the platforms give product developers multiple approaches to improving the incorporation, stability and delivery of nutritional actives in finished products.
RFI has made delivery technology a growing area of its business in 2026. In May, it partnered with Aventus Innovations to commercialise NutraJIT, a separate sustained-release delivery technology, in the US.
Cranova targets broader cranberry applications
RFI will also introduce Cranova, its cranberry ingredient platform featuring US-grown cranberry ingredients.
The range includes whole-fruit ingredients and powders standardised to 1.5%, 4.0% and 7.2% total proanthocyanidins (PACs).
While cranberry is traditionally associated with urinary health formulations, RFI is positioning Cranova for applications spanning gut health, women's and men's health, oral care and healthy ageing.
Formats include capsules, gummies, stick packs and functional beverages.
The launch comes as RFI continues to expand its vertically integrated ingredient and formulation platform.
In July, global agrifood investment firm Astanor acquired a minority interest in the company to support expansion in Europe and Asia-Pacific, ingredient innovation, clinical research and potential acquisitions.
RFI also expanded its functional food and beverage capabilities this year, highlighting liquid botanical extracts, fruit and vegetable ingredients, mushrooms, tea, coffee and cacao extracts at IFT FIRST 2026.
