Spanish API and functional ingredient supplier Bioiberica has announced it will be exhibiting at this year's CPHI Milan show, spotlighting its high-quality, traceable and scientifically validated ingredients for both the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors.
The company added that it will also highlight its cutting-edge heparin research projects and called on fellow industry leaders to "join its mission to unlock the full potential of this life-saving molecule."
Visitors to the show are invited to booth 4A33 to meet the Bioiberica team.
After last year's 50th anniversary celebrations, Bioiberica said it will use its platform at CPHI this year to highlight the importance of heparin, a molecule that it is a global producer of.
The company said that it was "dedicated to expanding the industry’s knowledge" of the antithrombotic and its capabilities, with attendees invited to learn about more than 40 ongoing research projects across ten countries, in partnership with esteemed institutions such as the G. Ronzoni Institute (Italy) and King’s College London (UK).
Attendees can also discover new potential applications for heparin, such as its use with cutting-edge medical devices.
Bioiberica added that it will also be showcasing its other biologically derived APIs — Thyroid, Chondroitin sulfate and Glucosamine — as well as nutraceutical branded ingredients.
These include the following:
- Collavant n2 (undenatured) type II collagen for joint health (40 mg/day)
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) matrix ingredients Mobilee, for muscle and joint health (80 mg/day) and Dermial, for skin health and beauty (60 mg/day)
- and DAOgest premium diamine oxidase (DAO) enzyme for histamine intolerance support (4.2 mg/day).
Attendees can also sample beverages made with an industry-first milk drink enriched with Collavant n2 at Bioiberica’s on-stand “Coffee Corner."
In addition to highlighting these world-reference ingredients, Bioiberica said it also wanted to draw attention to the central role ingredient security plays in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical innovation.
